New vid's from October and November

.
Our weekends have been booked every weekend except one from the middle of October to the middle of December (!). So one weekend in October, we should have been at 4 different events, but we decided to erase the calendar completely and head to the cabin! After making some phone calls to let people know we weren't going to be where we were supposed to be, we headed up to the cabin on Friday and the in-laws joined us on Saturday evening. I'm so glad we decided to get away and get our fill of fresh air and peace and serenity.
On Saturday we went hiking and Collin hiked at least 3 miles all through the Norwegian tundra, not complaining at all.
And on Sunday we did a hike together with Svein and Brit. The boys just LOVE going to the cabin--it must be the bunk beds and the candle blowing-out that they like the best, hehe.

We went to Åre, Sweden, just a two hour drive, the first weekend in November with two other great families and had a relaxing time at Holiday Club Spa and Resort. There was no spa visit/massage for any of us, but we had a great time relaxing and swimming in their great indoor pool, going down their huge tunnel/twisty slide and splashing around in the water. There were 7 children, all boys (!), aged 2 to 11 and they all got along so well and played together so well. The weekend went by all too fast, but we're already thinking about when we'll return!
Here's a short 30sec clip of the boys splashing around in the water. Justin is on the left, standing on the side, and Collin and his good friend, Vegar, are on the right jumping in. ( C & J have the orange waterwings on.)

And last but not least: HALLOWEEN! It's not a really big holiday in this part of the world, and some people despise Halloween and hope it doesn't stick around...But we usually keep it low key and carve pumpkins and maybe trick or treat at two of our neighbor's houses. This year was an exception, as my friend Aimee and Rebecca put on a Halloween party, complete with a houseful of decorations, and fun foods. We went trick or treating to just four of her neighbors, but the kids had fun inside with the party games.
Einar never ceases to amaze me with his mad pumpkin-carving skills....I just don't know where he gets it from, but the guy is GOOD! So here's a little vid of carving fun. The boys got to clean out the pumpkins during the day before Mamma and Pappa took over after dinner and finished them.
