A Weekend Getaway

Einar spoiled us rotten last weekend!  We had our annual diving trip to the coast together with his scuba club, and while all the others made the 2 1/2 hr drive on Friday evening, we were transported by helicopter and made the trek in just 30 minutes.  Einar had an assignment very close by on Saturday, and that made it convenient to be able to make the trip by air.
I've included a lot of video of the scenery, which I hope doesn't bore you, but rather give you an idea of what it looks like in these parts and what a beautiful country we live in. (For the few who have not been fortunate enough to experience it themselves!)  You'll see the fields of gold in Frosta, since all of the wheat has now been harvested.  Gold is one of the four main colors of Frosta; the others are brown (fall and spring during plow season), green (growing season) and white (winter)!  The other thing you'll notice is just how much water there really is--the amazing fjords as well as the high mountain lakes above the tree lines.  This is typical tundra terrain here in Norway.  It's also the typical terrain where we have our cabin, as well as in which Einar goes hunting.
After 10 years in this country, the beauty still takes my breath away.
